Meet Mid Bay News! Since 2002, this family has been dedicated to providing local news for the smartest future decisions possible in the Mid Bay area of Niceville. Their local news has contributed to families, businesses owners and government-agencies. In 2022, they decided to move their content management system (CMS) to WordPress after several years of using WIX.
Leveraging our expertise in digital marketing we approached the dual task of exporting a massive amount of content and pushing it on WordPress by first designing the same URLs as the old site (to maintain rankings on Google) and second by developing a comprehensive theme that gives the same look as the old WIX site. Some of the levers we pulled were:

- Semrush export for SERP
- Organic traffic benchmark
- Landing page design
- Blog posts, categories, tags.
- 301 redirects
In the end, we were able to move MidBayNews to a fresh new site with premium hosting DNS, increase CTR and guide future email creation.
